Asia-Pacific failing to save forests, grassland loss BY STIAN REKLEV ULAN BATOR, March 11 Tue Mar 11, 2014 3:32am EDT (Reuters) – Asia-Pacific nations are failing to halt the loss of natural forests and grasslands, the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) said on Tuesday, robbing people of their livelihoods and worsening environmental problems like desertification and climate change.
