via Cash-only doctors abandon the insurance system – Jun. 11, 2013

In a country that sees skyrocketing insurance premiums for both doctors and patients, it was a matter of time until doctors would start to abandon their insurance companies and start taking cash only. One argument is that it may only benefit the wealthy who can afford the care up front, but for millions of Americans who are jobless and without insurance, “concierge” medicine that offers monthly fees for “all you can eat” service, may just be what the doctor ordered.
